|This is something that I did in High School that I still really love. Just a cute little Guinea Pig made entirely out of type. Yeah...|
Okay, so I've been out of school for almost two months now and things haven't been going as well as I hoped. I've come to a stand still in the whole job search thing, it's slow at my current job so there's not a lot of work, and I haven't done nearly as much art as I would like. While things were a lot harder in school, at least I didn't have to worry about the real world crashing down on me just yet. Although, I really don't miss the constant homework...
Anyway, I figure it's about time that I start focusing on something and while I battle the job market that thing might as well be some artwork. Usually, every time I try to set some goal here on DA I end up quickly failing in it. But hopefully that won't be the case this time, as I think I'm setting a reasonable goal for myself that I should be able to stick to (I hope!) So my goal is this...for everyday in the month of February I will draw something. It might be a finished piece or it might be some small sketches. It may take me two hours or more or it might be just ten minutes. No matter what it is or how long it takes me, my goal is to draw. I probably won't update everyday, but I'll definitely try to post that week's pieces by the end of that week. I'll see how well I can stick to this goal for February and, if it goes well, I might think about extending it into March. Only time will tell though.
I'm also working on some bigger pieces and ideas, so I'll try to work on those as well. I'm really excited for the one piece I'm working on now, I just hope I can make it look the way I want it to in my head. Also, as I keep attempting to do, if anyone wants to offer me a suggestion or challenge me to draw something feel free and I'll take it into consideration. I'm definitely willing to challenge myself and try something new.
So yeah, just wanted to post about some updates and my current goals. I'll probably upload today's drawing in a little while, since it's more finished than a sketch. I'm certainly excited for this personal challenge though and hopefully I can keep that enthusiasm up for the entire month!
